CPAs require flexible insurance coverage for accounting services in this challenging environment. With increasing risks from new clients, changing business plans, and new laws and regulations, CPAs require professional liability insurance to provide coverage for claims arising from covered high-risk situations. What it covers

 

  • The policy provides coverage for damages and claim expenses because of a covered claim arising from the performance of professional accounting services including tax planning, general accounting services, business advice, audit, litigation support, and more.

  • Liability limits: Range from $100,000 to $10,000,000, with split limit options available to qualified and eligible insureds.

  • Deductible ranges: Start at $1,000 qualified firms have access to a range of deductible options.

  • Aggregate deductibles: Reduce out-of-pocket expenses if your firm faces multiple claims in a policy period.

  • Prior act coverage: Cover claims by reason of an act or omission before the policy’s purchase.

  • Settlement: Must obtain insured’s written consent.

  • Extended claims reporting: Report claims made during the policy period up to 60 days past policy expiration.
